The Mukhanyo Pretoria learning support centre is excited about the progress already made this year. The five students are positive that they will not only succeed to qualify as teachers but also to make an impact as Christians in the South-African educational environment.
Classes are presented from NWU via whiteboard technology. NWU is responsible for the development of learning material and quality assurance. This provides Mukhanyo with the opportunity to focus on the reformed character of the learning content and method of presentation.
After the contact sessions the learning content is discussed with the students from a Biblical perspective. The students participate actively in the discussions and we can testify with gratitude of the growth in the students’ lives.
Two additional modules are also offered: Bible Studies and Christian normative education. This is to ensure that Mukhanyo succeeds in its mission of equipping Christian teachers to serve in their communities, applying Biblical principles, norms and values.
In addition, classes for B.Th.-students will for the first time most probably also be presented in Pretoria on evenings during weekdays in 2017.
Mukhanyo believes there is a great need for the training of pastors and teachers on the basis of a Reformed Christian worldview. God willing, Mukhanyo will provide in this need through affordable, high quality tertiary training.
