Upgraded for Growth

After extending the KwaMhlanga campus significantly a few years ago, it was time for the Johannesburg facilities to be upgraded and the Pretoria facilities to be expanded.

Johannesburg. The facility Braamfontein was formerly the building of the Reformed Church Johannesburg Central. Changes in the Johannesburg demography caused the then existing congregation to close down and the building was handed to Mukhanyo.
Although ideally located, the facilities for teaching in the church building were very limited and a R1 million renovation programme was recently completed, now with six lecture rooms, a reception area, four offices as well as a large one with working space for eight lecturers, and a library.
The centre can now easily serve over a hundred students. So the priority now is to increase the faculty and number of students served.

Pretoria. The story of the Pretoria study centre is also a cause for thanksgiving. The state education authorities did not want the study centre to be located at the facilities of a high school. So a different venue had to be found.
The ideal place was found in a large hall adjacent to a Dutch Reformed Church in the suburbs of Wonderboom-South, even closer to the centre of Pretoria. In addition to a suitable conference centre, offices and classrooms, this church has a large secure parking area.

Mukhanyo now rents a part of the centre. The facilities had to be adjusted and renovated drastically, but today there are four lecture rooms, a library and four offices. All this was paid for with local donations.

This facility can now easily be used to teach a hundred students, with the further potential of expansion. Here marketing will also be of importance this year.
