Prayer and Praise for April 2019

27/3/2019

Picture
“Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” - (Isaiah 53:4-5)
  1. Thank the Lord for our students and pray that they will return to class spiritually and physically refreshed. Lectures resume on 2 April.
  2. We thank the Lord for our Graduation ceremony that took place on 9 March. Please pray with us that those who received their qualification, will be used by the Lord to spread the Word of God effectively.
  3. The Pastoral Couple conference on 16 March was a great blessing. Attendance was encouraging and the teachings were received very well. We thank the Lord for this and hope that similar events can be held in future.
  4. Apart from the daily ongoing programme, the following specific dates are on our programme for April:
     Monday 1 April: Faculty Forum
     Monday 1 April: Executive Committee meeting
     Saturday 6 April: Seminar at KwaMhlanga campus with theme: “How to teach children effectively”. This will focus on Sunday School teachers and there is great need in this area.
     Tuesday 23 April: Academic Committee meeting.
  5. We are very grateful for each person who is serving the Lord at Mukhanyo. Please pray that the Lord will encourage them in their labour and that He will send the right people to fill the vacancies which there still are.
  6. Many of our staff and students will be attending or involved in conferences at churches and elsewhere over Easter weekend. Please pray that the Lord will bless these events and use their inputs for His glory.
  7. Thank the Lord with us for His provision for Mukhanyo and the students individually. Please pray that He will continue to provide in all these needs. Many of our students are not fully supported by their families or churches.
Thank you for your precious prayer support!
