Dr Brian A DeVries
Dr Brian A de Vries (BBA, M.Div., Th.M., Ph.D.) is Principal and Senior Lecturer at Mukhanyo Theological College. He is a minister of the Reformed Churches of South Africa (GKSA), sent to South Africa in 2005 as a missionary of the Heritage Reformed Congregations of North America (HRC-NA). Dr deVries is presently serving at Grace Reformed Church of Northern Pretoria, his third church plant in South Africa. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Theology of NorthWest University in South Africa and serves as Visiting Professor at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in the United States. He and his wife, Lanae, are blessed with three children.
Rev Paul Mahlangu
B.Th., B.A. Hon., is a Lecturer. Since 1985 he has served as the Pastor in the Church of Jesus Christ, Tweefontein District and serves on the KwaNdebele Regional Executive Committee. He also leads a Mukhanyo Distance group and does other church based pastors training programmes. He is married to Mary and blessed with two children.
Mr Jacques Malan
Mr Jacques Malan came to saving faith in Christ at the age of 17 and has had a burden to reach others with the gospel since then. He first worked as a civil engineer in Pretoria, but soon felt led by the Lord to full-time Christian ministry. From 1995 to 2014 he served full-time with the Dorothea Mission. As evangelist, he was part of a multi-cultural team, first in South Africa and then in Namibia. He later also served as Bible college lecturer and as director. He has a strong vision for promoting biblical evangelism and preaching in Southern Africa. He obtained an LTh through BISA and a BTh Honours through SATS. He is married to Wynie, who also served in the Dorothea Mission, and they both serve on the staff of MTC at KwaMhlanga.
Dr Japie Malan
BA, BD, MTh, PhD (New Testament). Dr Malan started as a lecturer in Old Testament, New Testament and Ecclesiology at Mukhnayo in January 2015. After his initial studies, he served as a chaplain in the SADF, (1985-1986). Thereafter, he served in the Dutch Reformed Congregations of Goedehoop, (1987-1988) and Trichardt, (1989-1993) as the minister. He started a Faith Mission, “Adullam”, near Evander in 1994 and am currently still serving on the Mission as director. Dr Malan was Head Teacher for Adullam Christian Academy for 14 years and taught maths, science and Biblical Studies at the school for 10 years. He founded the Trichardt Bible School (1989) and lectured on the basic introduction to the book of the Old & New Testament for 3 years. He was also a lecturer at the Adullam Bible School for 18 years. He has two research articles published and has extensive experience in gospel meetings and sending out missionaries. Dr Malan is married to Annake and they have three children and 4 grandchildren.
Rev Isaac Maleke
B.A Hon., B.Th., is Dean of Students. He is the senior Pastor of International Assemblies of God in Tweefontein and the Chairperson of the Board of Mukhanyo Community Development Centre (MCDC). He is also currently doing his Masters in Biblical Counselling. He is married and blessed with three children.
Dr Brian Wingard
B.A., M.Div., Th.M., Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Systematic Theology teaching in the areas of Dogmatics, Church History and Ethics. Dr Brian Wingard is an Ordained Minister and Foreign Missionary of the Presbytery of Philadelphia (OPC) and comes to Mukhanyo Theological College having served as Vice Principal/Academic Dean at the Reformed Theological College of East Africa in Eldoret, Kenya; Professor of Church History and Systematic Theology at Wesminster Theological College in Mbale, Uganda as well as a tenure Principal at the same Institution; Director/Head of the Department of Systematic Theology at Mehrete Yesus Evangelical Presbyterian Theological College Asmara, Eritrea and Visiting Professor of Systematic Theology and Polity Knox Theological College, Mbale, Uganda. He is married to Dorothy Wingard.
Dr Willie Zeze
LTh., B.D., Th.M., DTh., is Resource Specialist and a lecturer in the department of Ecclesiology: Church History and Church Polity. Dr Zeze is currently lecturing in the subjects of African Church History (DT 226) and Systematic Theology I (Creeds and Confessions). He is an ordained minister and a former Actuaries of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP), Nkhoma Synod in Malawi. He has served in many areas, including: Minister of the Khola Congregation (2002-2006); In-service Coordinator; Vice Principal and lecturer in Church History and Church Law and Church Polity at Josophat Mwale Theological Institute 2006-2010; Board Chairperson of Nkhoma Nursing College (2008-2010); Pastor of Buwa Congregation (2010-2013); Visiting lecturer of studying congregations in Africa at Covenant College in Zambia (10-20 April 2011); Regional Coordinator-Centre of Theological Education by Extension in Malawi [TEEM] (1 Aug. 2013-21 Jul. 2014). He has attended conferences and presented many academic papers. Dr. Willie Zeze is a member of the Church History Society for Central and Southern Africa and International Consortium for Law and Religion in Central and Southern Africa. He is married to Pollina and has four children; three girls Grace, Chifunito and Naom and a boy, Zikomo.
Rev Benjamin Zulu
B.Th, BA Hons, Greek Hons, M.Div, M.Th (progress)., is a full time lecturer at MTC. He is lecturing in the subjects of New Testament, Bible History, Christian Character and Management skills. In the years 2008-2010, he was one of the triumvirate to the establishment of what was then called "Sunnyside Multi Cultural Church, now known as "New City Life Church" in Pretoria. He then worked under the guardianship of Prof. R. Hobyane to the spiritual growth of Promosa Reformed Church from 2011-2015. He is currently part of the Mooifontein Reformed Church in Kempton Park, where he leads the multi-cultural service. He is happily engaged to Florence Mbewe and intend to marry in June 2016.

Dr Johannes (Hannes) Breytenbach
B.A., B.Th., M.Th., D.Th. He is an ordained minister in the Free Reformed Churches in South Africa (FRCSA). He holds a BA in Biblical Languages from Potchefstroom University, a BTh and MTh from the University of Stellenbosch, a DTh in Ecclesiology from the University of Stellenbosch, and Master in Higher Education Studies from the University of the Free State. Dr. Breytenbach has published many articles, has extensive experience in theological education, and has been working for many years within academia in various capacities.
Dr. Breytenbach has served in several places as a missionary minister of the Dutch Reformed Church and also for thirteen years as a missionary for the Free Reformed Church in Belhar. He will continue to serve the FRCSA Bethal church while working four days each week at Mukhanyo. He and his wife Marietjie have four children.
Rev Ben Fourie
BA, BA Hons, MA, ThB, MTh Status Old Testament Theology. Currently he is writing his PhD thesis on Psalm 82. He was an accredited lecturer at the Hammanskraal Theological Seminary in Hebrew, Aramaicand Latin. When it closed down in 1996, he became involved in the Mukhanyo College since 1998 as part time lecturer. Initially he taught Hebrew, but soon afterwards became involved as lecturer in Old Testament Theology up to the end of 2009. He became involved again as lecturer in Hebrew since April 2012. He is a full-time reverend at the Gereformeerde Kerk Kameeldrift. He is serving there since 1986. He was widely involved in ecumenical affairs and travelled extensively. He is married to Susan. They have four children. The eldest, together with his wife, is reverend at Belville, the second son (also married) is a businessman, the third son and daughter are English Language Teachers in South Korea.
Dr Arthur Miskin
Dr. Arthur Miskin, B.Sc., MBchB., M.Med. O&G, M.Div., is a Lecturer in the department of Practical Theology. Subjects he teaches include Pastoral Theology, Homiletics and Practical Preaching. In addition, he has also been tasked with teaching Hermeneutics, Old Testament Introduction and Old Testament Exegesis. He is the pastor of the Tswane Reformed Chuch, (called and seconded to this task by the Heritage Reformed Congregation of Burgessville, Canada). He serves as Chair for the Board of Nakekela Christian Care Centre and together with his wife, Dr. Sonja Miskin provide medical care to Nakekela. Arthur and Sonja are blessed with three children.
Rev Michael Rogers
B.Th., B.A. Hon. Michael Rogers is a pastor at Heritage Baptist. After matriculating from St. John's College he spent several years at Pretoria University studying Mechanical Engineering. He started several businesses before he was sent to plant Heritage Baptist Church in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg. He received his Bachelor of Theology degree from John Wycliffe Theological College and his Honours from North West University. He has taught on Radio Impact and Radio Pulpit, has had several articles published and has lectured at John Wycliffe Theological College. He is a trustee of FOCUS and a member of the management team of Mukhanyo Theological College Johannesburg Campus. He lectures on Prolegomena and Systematic Theology. Michael is married to Natalie Rogers and the Lord has blessed them with three lovely children, Caleb, Calvin, and Lisbon.
Mrs Dorothy Wingard
After graduating from university, Dorothy worked for many years in a research laboratory as a research assistant, which included editing scientific papers. Her "second life-time" began when she was married to Brian Wingard and they moved to Kenya where he taught pastoral students and she taught women's Bible studies and children's Bible classes. Later they ministered in Uganda and Eritrea.
Rev Celumusa Zulu
Rev Zulu completed his Bachelor of Theology in 2003. In 2007 he did his BA Honours in Theology at George Whitefield College. He is currently rector (senior minister/pastor) at St. Matthews Family Church, which is in Leondale in the East Rand (Ekurhuleni). He is a member of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church of South Africa (REACH - SOUTH AFRICA) and married to Nobuhle Zulu.
Mrs Jacomien Zwemstra
Jacomien did her BTh and MA (Greek) at the PU for CHE (currently the Northwest University). She is married to Heinrich Zwemstra, a pastor in the GKSA. They have three children. They worked and lived in Heidelberg, Vereeniging, Zambia and Pretoria. They spent four years in Zambia where they did missionary work at Covenant College. Jacomien also spends her time helping her husband who is a pastor in the Gereformeerde Kerk Pretoria-Annlin.
Dr PJ (Flip) Buys
B.A., B.Th., Th. M. and Th.D., founder of Mukhanyo Theological College in 1994. He is an ordained minister in the Reformed Churches in South Africa (GKSA) since 1973. After serving two churches as pastor he became a cross-cultural missionary in 1984. He planted several churches in and around both Sharpeville and KwaMhlanga. He is the Associate International Director of World Reformed Fellowship. He serves as an adjunct professor of Missions at the North-West University in Potchefstroom. He has published several elementary textbooks and various articles in academic and theological journals. He and his wife Hanneke have been married for 41 years; they have two adult children and one granddaughter.
Dr John Carson
(M.Div, Ph.D Aberdeen) was ordained in 1973 and has pastored two churches in the Charlotte, NC area. He served as a Professor of historical theology at Erskine Theological Seminary, later becoming
President of Erskine College and Seminary. He has co-edited the book To Glorify and Enjoy God (Banner of Truth). Dr Carson presently serves in World Witness, the missions agency of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, as a professor with the Mobile Theological Training Team (MT3), teaching regularly in Africa. He is also the pastoral counselor and strategic coordinator for the Secular Europe field. He and his wife have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
Rev Ronald Munyithya
BA Geneva College, MAR Westminster Theological Seminary USA, is a lecturer at
Mukhanyo Theological College in the department of Biblical Studies. He is an ordained minister of Africa Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Kenya with 22 years of pastoral experience. He formerly was Lecturer at Westminster Theological Seminary & College Uganda and Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (currently Africa International University) and Principal of Grace Bible College and Common Ground Theological Institute. He is married to Margaret and blessed with six children and four grand-children.
