Invitation to Mukhanyo Thanksgiving Day
Saturday 11 May 2019 at 08:30

The year 2019 is a special year for Mukhanyo since our ministry started 25 years ago!
In the 1980s, a missionary working in KwaNdebele, realized the need for Bible training of local church leaders, so he started with part-time classes on Saturdays to help them. These informal classes eventual grew into a formalized programme in 1994. Thus Mukhanyo was started – Sharing the Light!

Now 25 years later, Mukhanyo is an academic institution offering several accredited and unaccredited programmes in various locations around the country, including satellite centres in Johannesburg and Pretoria. There are also more than sixty distance learning centres in southern Africa.

This growth took place, by God’s grace, through the labour of many faithful servants of God and as result of the prayers and gifts of many dear friends and supporters who stood with us.

On Saturday 11 May we wish to look back and look forward together, with our friends and supporters, while we wish to give God all the glory. Short testimonies will be given by a series of leaders about many aspects and stories from the history of the Mukhanyo ministry.

This is an open invitation to all people who are interested in Mukhanyo ministry. We especially invite our donors to attend and give thanks to God with us. Perhaps some never had the opportunity to visit our main campus in KwaMhlanga – this is the opportunity to come and see what is happening here. Feel free to bring friends that are interested.

Before the meeting will commence, a welcoming cup of tea and coffee will be served at 08:30. At 12:00 all attendees will be welcome to have lunch with us. Refreshments will be served for free.

The official AGM held by member churches will take place after lunch. This will be open to visitors, but we don’t expect those who are not involved to stay.

For the sake of catering arrangements, kindly RSVP to Wynie Malan not later than Tuesday 7 May at office.mukhanyo@gmail.com or phone the KwaMhlanga campus at 013 947 2179 or 074 1399 348 during office hours.

We greet you with Psalm 57:9-10: “I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.”

In His service,

Dr Brian A de Vries
Principal
