We are reminded in Matthew 28:16,17 that the great commission is a commission to change lives. We know that this is the work of the Holy Spirit, but the human element is important in the sense of discipling, intentional transformation through Bible teaching that changes the lives of people and does not just produce church members. Mukhanyo wants our tutors and students to be focused on life change and transforming society through the gospel.
Mukhanyo has a large number of distance study groups, each of them with a tutor and or facilitator. How can they become more effective to their students? How to become the best mentor and leader for students? That is why Mukhanyo will be presenting its first in-depth three-day workshop at its main campus in KwaMhlanga, 3 – 5 April, where we expect some 32 tutors. Topics to be discussed include the role of the tutor in the classroom, the writing and marking of assignments, assessment and examination marks, the tutor’s administration and his/her role in financial matters. Also discussions on academic and compliance records, materials development and the tutor’s role as mentor to the students. We want to invest in our tutors so that they can invest in their students. The workshop is free of charge and Mukhanyo provides accommodation and meals.
