Programmes Offered at the Johannesburg Campus
THE DIPLOMA IN THEOLOGY (ACCREDITED) (NQF level 5)
This programme provides a systematic introduction to major areas of theological study, including both academic study and practical application of biblical truth. This two year programme is designed as a foundational programme for church leaders.
THE BACHELORS IN THEOLOGY (B.Th) (ACCREDITED) (NQF level 7)
This programme provides a comprehensive study of all aspects of theology, including both the academic research and practical application of biblical truth. It is designed to prepare church leaders for all aspects of Christian ministry. This three year programme (delivered over four years), is open to all candidates who are called by God into the pastoral ministry of the Word and leadership in the Church.
Method of Study
Most classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Students are encouraged to return to their churches on weekends to put into practice the training they have received. Students may be required to attend additional classes.
Mukhanyo Theological College is accredited by the South African government. The College is registered with the Department of Education and Training as a private higher education institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997, Registration Certificate No. 2009/HE08/002.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
Applicants will be required to write an entrance exam. The purpose of this exam is to identify the student’s level of competence in the English language, academic literacy, and computer skills. Based on his/her results, a student might be required to do a bridging course before entering into further studies.
