![]() And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, ‘Save us, Lord; we are perishing.’ And he said to them, ‘Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?’ Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” (Matthew 8:24-26) While the world is in turmoil and many hearts are filled with fear and panic about the disease that is spreading across the globe, we are privileged to know and fully believe that the God of heaven and earth is in control. In fact, the Lord Jesus who asked the disciples during the storm on the sea why they were afraid and encouraged them to have faith, is the same yesterday, today and forever. We can still trust Him and rest in Him during these difficult times.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea…” (Psalm 46:1-2)
