At the end of a year, one tends to look back and think about things that happened.
In such a case there are often “joys and sorrows”, but the conclusion should
always be that the Lord was with us and His Name is to be praised.
That is the thought that is in our minds when we ask you to thank the
Lord with us and pray with us for the following matters.

  1. Thank the Lord for each student who completed a year of study – through contact study or distance mode. Pray that what they have learned will not just be academic knowledge, but that many spiritual truths from the Word of God will be built into their lives.
  2. The following is on the programme for the first part of December:
    -  Tuesday 4 December: Assessment meeting attended by all faculty members
    - Tuesday 4 December: Executive Management meeting
    - Friday 7 December: Staff Function for staff and their spouses.
  3. Pray that all staff will have a good time of rest during the period that MTC will be closed (14 December to 3 January). Pray for safe travelling and blessed times with loved ones.
  4. Pray for a good student intake for 2019.
  5. Pray that we may receive the Lord’s strength and wisdom for the activities of 2019. Pray for His protection over the ministry of MTC and that we may faithfully follow His guidance throughout the year.
  6. The following is on the programme for January:
    - Thursday 3 January: MTC offices re-open.
    - Monday 14 January: Official opening service with Rev David Carmichael (UK) as
      guest speaker.
    - Monday 14 January: Day conference in Johannesburg with Dr Tom Nettles (USA)    as guest speaker.
    - Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 January: Orientation for new students.
    - Monday 21 January: Faculty Forum.
    - Monday 21 January: Executive Management meeting.
    - Tuesday 22 January: Classes for full-time students start.
    - Tuesday 29 January: Academic Committee meeting.
    - Wednesday 30 January: Operations Committee meeting.
  7. Pray that the Lord will provide financially for the College and the students individually during 2019.
Thank you for your precious prayer support!

“He who dwells in the shelter of the
Most High will abide in the shadow
of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” …
His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.” (Psalm 91:1-4)
The end of the academic as well as the calendar year is quickly drawing closer. With this in mind, we want to kindly ask you to thank the Lord with us and pray with us for the following matters.
  1. Thank the Lord with us for the students that could study with us during 2018 and pray that they will complete the year successfully.
  2. The Tutor workshop (for the tutors at the distance sites) that was held at KwaMhlanga campus, went very well and was very well received. Thank the Lord for the 30 tutors who could attend it and could sit together to discuss some challenges and work on some improvements in their roles.
  3. Pray the students who study at the Distance sites will persevere in their studies. They often have to fit it in after a long day’s work. Pray that it will be a great blessing to them.
  4. We thank the Lord for two blessed conferences during October – the Pastor’s Wives conference arranged by our team in Johannesburg and the Church leaders conference that was held at KwaMhlanga campus. Attendance at both events was very good and there was much appreciation for the teachings given.
  5. Our full-time and part-time students will start with exams on 5 November. Please pray that they will study well and obtain good results.
  6. Several things are on the calendar for November and we will appreciate prayer for it:Monday
    - Monday 12 November – Audit and Risk committee meeting.
    - Thursday 22 November – Board meeting.
    - Monday 26 to Friday 30 November - Our Principal, Brian de Vries, has been invited to teach a block course at another Bible College in Johannesburg. Pray that this will be a blessing to the students there.
  7. Major renovations are underway at the buildings at our Johannesburg Learning Centre. Thank the Lord for His provision for this project and pray that all involved will render good and reliable service.
  8. Pray with us that the Lord will send applicants to study and Mukhanyo in 2019 – people who will be committed to Christ and the proclaiming of His Word.
Thank you for your precious prayer support!
