Prayer and Praise for December 2018 and January 2019

28/11/2018

At the end of a year, one tends to look back and think about things that happened.
In such a case there are often “joys and sorrows”, but the conclusion should
always be that the Lord was with us and His Name is to be praised.
That is the thought that is in our minds when we ask you to thank the
Lord with us and pray with us for the following matters.

  1. Thank the Lord for each student who completed a year of study – through contact study or distance mode. Pray that what they have learned will not just be academic knowledge, but that many spiritual truths from the Word of God will be built into their lives.
  2. The following is on the programme for the first part of December:
    -  Tuesday 4 December: Assessment meeting attended by all faculty members
    - Tuesday 4 December: Executive Management meeting
    - Friday 7 December: Staff Function for staff and their spouses.
  3. Pray that all staff will have a good time of rest during the period that MTC will be closed (14 December to 3 January). Pray for safe travelling and blessed times with loved ones.
  4. Pray for a good student intake for 2019.
  5. Pray that we may receive the Lord’s strength and wisdom for the activities of 2019. Pray for His protection over the ministry of MTC and that we may faithfully follow His guidance throughout the year.
  6. The following is on the programme for January:
    - Thursday 3 January: MTC offices re-open.
    - Monday 14 January: Official opening service with Rev David Carmichael (UK) as
      guest speaker.
    - Monday 14 January: Day conference in Johannesburg with Dr Tom Nettles (USA)    as guest speaker.
    - Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 January: Orientation for new students.
    - Monday 21 January: Faculty Forum.
    - Monday 21 January: Executive Management meeting.
    - Tuesday 22 January: Classes for full-time students start.
    - Tuesday 29 January: Academic Committee meeting.
    - Wednesday 30 January: Operations Committee meeting.
  7. Pray that the Lord will provide financially for the College and the students individually during 2019.
Thank you for your precious prayer support!
