Prayer and Praise - March 2023

We can indeed testify that the Lord is very good to us and that we experience His love and faithfulness – also in the Mukhanyo ministry.

  1. One of the blessing the Lord gave to us are the friends that pray and support. Thank the Lord together with us and pray that He will also bless them and make them a blessing in their spheres of life.

  2. Here at Mukhanyo the concept “new computer systems” form part of many discussions and meetings. This has been going on for several months and is expected to continue for several more months. It is with gratitude that we ask prayer for the following specifics in this regard:
    • Thank the Lord for the good progress there is so far and for His provision to make this possible.
    • Thank the Lord with us for the very capable consultant that offered his services to us – for free! The further we go on this road, the more we realise it would have been very, very difficult without him! Pray that the Lord will also bless him for his very generous gift in this regard.
    • Pray with us for all the staff members that are directly involved with this change. It needs a lot of time, planning and work. In many cases there is also training involved – either formal or informal.

  3. Classes are going well at the five campuses/centres and the many local learning sites where students study in distance mode with the help of a tutor. Please pray that our students will be encouraged in their studies, be equipped for ministry and will grow in their relationship with the Lord.

  4. The following specific matters are planned for March:
    1. Wednesday 1 February: Education Committee meeting.
    2. Saturday 4 March: Seminar for Sunday School teachers at our Johannesburg campus.
    3. Tuesday 7 March: Executive Committee meeting.
    4. Tuesday 7 March: Student welcoming function at KwaMhlanga campus.
    5. Thursday 9 March: Board meeting.
    6. Saturday 11 March: Graduation.
    7. Monday 13 March: Student Support Committee meeting.
    8. Tuesday 14 March: Staff forum at KwaMhlanga campus.
    9. Monday 20 March: Academic Committee meeting.
    10. Wednesday 22 March: Meeting with Regional Coordinators (who assist our local learning tutors).
    11. Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 March: Faculty Coach at Rustenburg for class visits.
    12. Monday 27 March: Two-week study break for our campus students starts.
    13. Monday 27 to Wednesday 30 March: Training for local learning tutors.

  5. Pray that the Lord will help staff and students to have a close walk with Him and keep our eyes fixed  on Him amidst a full and busy schedule.

Thank you for your continued interest and prayer support!
